That was tragic for me, because in their youth, they were equating the punk scene with being Death Eaters.  But I really liked the story.

I like the sense of them being just young men finding a spot for themselves in their world on top of being young men finding a spot for themselves in the world their master wants to destroy.  The descriptions of how and why they wear the various clothes are fantastic in their own right but then do so much for the pacing of the story as well.  Wonderful.

There is a strangely brutal innocence to this story which makes it all the more disturbing.   A very unique perspective, also, to speak of a young Death Eater as kind and generous.  So many of them were only boys, weren't they, full of dreams of noble glory and righteous ends... slipping so eagerly towards the abyss.... And the pattern still repeats, even now...  Very well written.
