I am a relative newcomer to the world of Harry Potter Fan Fiction. I recently discovered the good 'ship HG/SS, and I've been hooked to the point where it is my OTP.
I was a Ruth Kirschstein NRSA post-doctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When I am not at the lab bench or in the classroom, I am an organist. I'd be in a church near me, occupying an organ bench, and blowing dust around the nave. (Just kidding.) Currently, I serve as organist/choirmaster for a couple of small Episcopal churches near Duke University.

Oops, forgot to respond to this review.Yes, a very belated happy birthday indeed to Harry! I would hope he would have a quiet time with family. :)
A Simon & Garfunkel songfic! Excellent! Sounds like a birthday Harry would truly enjoy.(side note: I'm not sure how quiet things will actually be for Paul Simon when he turns 70... he will still have a daughter in high school. I'll bet 70 doesn't seem as old to him in his 60's as it seemed to him in his 20's)

After their childhood, can you blame them for desiring some peace and quiet? So glad they can enjoy themselves without too much fuss.

That was wonderful. I love how Harry and Neville spend the time just thinking together and how they both go back to the lives they love. And the line about Mrs. Potter's Mr. Potter is perfect here.

I'm glad you thought that line worked. I could hear Harry Morgan's voice in my head as he said that line. :)
What a way for Harry to spend the day. It was perfect and Neville would be one of the few people who would understand Harry's need for peace and quiet.

Thank you, sunny! For some reason, when I realised yesterday was Harry's (and JKR's) birthday, that Simon and Garfunkel song embedded itself in my head.I'm glad you liked it! :)
