This is too, too funny (and yet a little sad also). I love the slapstick wedding night. There's just enough of a touch of melancholy in the newlyweds hiding the scars from each other, however, to keep it from being completely OC and farcical. Very Slytherin choice of china pattern, BTW (I looked it up) - lovely with the red table linens).

I don't believe I've read this one before! How could I have missed it?  Is there more of it?  Anyway, it's brilliant as always, MM, and I laughed out loud several times, and had to switch tabs really fast so that my son didn't come in and find me reading stuff with "the F-bomb" in it (Mo-om, you aren't supposed to READ that stuff!).  Perhaps there should be a warning label on wine--"Do not attempt to engage in intercourse after ingesting more than the recommended serving..."

I read this a little while back and probably didn't comment, wretched lurker that I am. So, if you will forgive my venacular, this is bloody wonderful :D I should put some effort in and see what else you've written since.

That was quite possibly the most violent wedding night I have ever encountered, LOL.  What a ridiculous notion, that the married teachers get paid more! I'm glad that the two of them decided to fight this, in their own way.  And giving up after one failed attempt at something is so unlike them.  I hope they come to their senses and practice, practice, practice!
