Hogwarts has finally joined the twenty-first century, much to Severus’ annoyance. He’d assumed only owls hooted; evidentially, he was wrong.
SS/HG, One-shot; DH compliant - but definitely EWE.

I am amazed and enthralled with the Harry Potter universe, with the emphasis on Snape. HG/SS is my favorite ship (you have been warned). I like sci-fi ? Star Wars, Quantum Leap, Star Trek, and Ray Bradbury to name a few. Horror also catches my interest as in Stephen King. I am a married, mother of two teenagers, multiple pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, turtle), and I work way too many hours. The rest is window dressing and subject to change without notice. I am also on staff on a wonderful new site called Playwitch. Visit when you get a minute: WWW.Playwitch.net
Dances With Witches was a winner in the laughter category of the Multifaceted Awards (Round 2) - Thank you!

Awsome short.
A great, cute little story. It is great to see you on here.
Give your plot bunny an extra carrot for such an entertaining story. I agree with Severus regarding Twitter and Tweets.
Sorry 2009 was so awful to you. I hope 2010 is much healthier and happier for you and yours.
This is really entertaining! I don't know what else to say but it was great, as usual. Thanks for sharing!
Hugs to you. I'm glad things are a little better and you've been inspired, even if it's by Twitter. This was really cute and a fun twist of what we have here in our Muggle world.
Love it!!!
LOL somehow i can imagine Minerva wouldn't be too thrilled about the abbreviations in essays either!
Glad hubby had a great appt!

So clever! Loved it!
This story is really cute; I sympathize with Severus completely! i know I'm too young to turn Luddite or anything like that, but some pieces of 21st-century technology will always be beyond me. The mp3 player has failed to seduce me, despite its sleek and slimlined design, as well as its nearly infinite capacity for storing every song ever recorded by anyone. iTunes just freaks me out. I will always be a CD girl. Twitter also confuses me; I don't really understand what Twitter offers that Facebook does not. Oh well. I am all for Severus' preferred form of communication!
It's nice to read something you wrote again. I've been waiting for it and really missed you writings.
And it's a very cute story.
That was fun.
This was too cute. I am 100% team Severus. All of this tweeting and texting and such is so beyond me. I guess I am old before my time. Needless to say, I am live journal inpaired as well, so don't know the extent of your RL issues. I do however wish you good things in 2010 and I hope plot bunnies continue to nibble away at you. Glad to know at least Severus and Hermione are keeping some old fashioned communication alive!
Very cute. Welcome back! 2010 has got to be better...for a lot of us.
Brillant!
Delightful! I'm a bit impaired when it comes to tweeting and such, but there is nothing impaired about my enjoyment of this one-shot! Thanks for laugh and a smile!

Absolutely funny, thank you! On a different note: I read some of your stories an always liked them but never endeavoured to know someting about you. Prompted by you you A/N I took a look at your LJ and, oh, boy, I don't know what to say. For me it was 2004. If anybody deserves a happy new year, it's you.
This is darling! Made me smile first thing today. So glad to see you back, and to hear things are slowly getting better. Twitter is definitely a phenomenon unto itself... LOL I love the owl-y names you gave everything. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! *hugs* :)

I'm glad you liked the story. While I don't tweet, I find the whole thing amazing. After hearing tweet and Twitter, it occured to me that hoot and squawk would work just as well, and well, that's when the bunny bit me...grinThings are starting to return to normal, bit by bit. I'm just glad the story turned out light since my mood has been less than bright lately.
Very clever and very entertaining!

A very cute story :) Cheered me right up on this soggy day. I'm glad to hear your husband received good news. Best of health to you both in 2010.
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you I could help. The story was rather fun to write.
Thank you for your warm wishes. I'm thankful the doctor's report was so good. It makes for a great start for the new year.
That was absolutely adorable. I don't Tweet, but this was fun.

Thank you. I don't tweet either, but I find the whole thing interesting.
Very clever, girl. I really liked Severus' thoughts on the new language and technology - I feel the same way he does. lol Thank you for sharing and I'm still sending you my warmest thoughts and regards as you deal with all that has befallen you. I hope you are doing better, sweetie.

I'm glad you liked the story. I love my daughter dearly, but I cringe when I read emails and texts from her that have no capital letters or punctuation. How long does it take to hold down a shift key?Thank you. Things are moving a long, bit by bit. As someone said, 'One day at a time.'
This was really cute. I could imagine Severus' frustration over technology moving in.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. I would Severus' is not that good with change.
Response from Pearle (Author of Hooting)
lol... I see I need Sun to beta my responses, too!The response should have been:Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. I would think Severus' is not that good with change.
Delightful!I love how public their first kiss and that the way they reacted to it was public, and they didn't care.
Response from Pearle (Author of Hooting)
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the story. While I think Severus would like to keep all aspects of his life private, sometimes you just have to go with the moment...smile
I'm glad to find you well enough to be back on writing. This was very cute and I can't thank you enough for the translation of abreviations. I'm not a native speaker and all of this can be hell quickly for me. Best wishes for the New Year. May it be happier than 2009.
Response from Pearle (Author of Hooting)
Thank you, it's slow going between my health and the frame of mind I've been in, but I'm getting there. At least this little plot bunny is leaving me alone since I wrote it...for now at least.Abbreviations and slang terms or symbols, in my opinion, only make sense if you know what they mean. My daughter (who uses them constantly in texts and emails) assumes I should know what they are just by looking at them...lolThank you and best wishes to you, too.
Very clever--I think you did a great job!
