Ooh, this was wicked good. I particularly enjoyed the line that started, Mine bear thistles... That was such a graphic image. This entire piece is very well done. I felt foreboding and dread almost instantly.
Author's Response: Thanks, Lula. It's a creepy object there in the DoM with nefarious aims. I can just see its evil shredding all thoughts of hope and love... *shudders

I changed the a/n to include the prompt. Sorry about that! The POV is from an object in the Department of Mysteries. So, that's what's going on... hope that helps, and thanks for reviewing :)
