Call me UK - no relation to the nation. Aside from fanfiction, I collect coffee mugs and I draw and paint. I'm a college student in pursuit of a career in teaching English and Science to middle school children.

Reviews for The Coffee Shop
A little gem of a story and what a very unusual pairing. I do hope you write more like this and perhaps a sequel?
Loved it.
Ebony and vine - a brilliant name for a coffee shop. And I like what you did with Madam Puddifoot's!
What a lovely little story! I just love Kingsley; I wish we saw more of him in stories! Any chance of more of this story?? :-)

I'm considering it. =) I adore Kings and really wish there was more fiction on him.
This is the very first Hermione/Kingsley fic I've ever read... I absolutely loved it. Kingsley, I've always thought, is a very appealing but shamefully under-utilized character. Ron, on the other hand, I'd like to kick. Figures that he would make everything Hermione's fault, which I'm sure was *far* from the case.
Loved the name 'Ebony & Vine' too... nice to see Hermione was able to make lemonade from the sour lemons life (aka Ron) handed her. Or rather, a damn fine cup of coffee. ^_^
I noticed this is a one-shot, but I would dearly love to see a sequel. I wouldn't mind finding out exactly what went down between Ron and Hermione and his reaction seeing that kicking her out turned out to be the best thing he could have done for her. Serves him right. And, of course, I would love to see how things might progress between a certain coffeeshop owner and the Minister of Magic. Hint, hint...

I was considering continuing it, but I'm still wobbling that fine line between leaving what's well enough alone and improving on it. ^^ We shall see. I thought about making her name it "Ebony and Ivory," but thought it would be too obvious. The wand wood idea came to me from there. I love coffee SOOOO much, and I figured a fellow bookworm like Mione would be well pleased with it, too. Glad you enjoyed. =)
oh please update this story. You've got such a good foundation and a really clear way of expressing your writing.
Awww ... this was nice. I always think that Hermione and Kingley don't go together, but every time I've read them together (which admittedly is only a handful of times), it always ends up working for me. This is no exception. Well done.
An HG/KS.... squee! Thank you so much for a lovely story.
Cute, and thank you for writing a rare pairing!
