Hello all, I am a 53 year old from NZ. Although SSHG is how I started and still my main pairing, I'll give pretty much any pairing a try, whether it be reading or writing. Sev and Herms need a bit of variety at times. ;)

And more to come, my dear! :)
"admiring the view" indeed! (me, too, at least in my mind) i adore the way you are pacing (so to speak!) their relationship. thanks so much
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Pacing. *snicker* :)
Wow, that´s so sweet and hot! I can´t wait to read more. I smiled several times during reading especially this chapter, because I can imagine that Snape would try to push Hermione a little bit.....and he did.....but only a little bit and that´s so good! Please write more!
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
It's on its way. Chap 3 is in the queue, chap 4 is with my beta, and the rest is pretty much written, just needs tidied up. :)
Snape is simply mouth watering in this fic. I love how the relationship slowly progressed. Please update soon.

'Tis in the queue! :)
Hey Sunny,I'm enjoying this story very much. It's unusual in many ways -- Snape *jogging*, stripping so unconcernedly, unorthodox development of a relationship (and that they are teacher and student is the least of it), and so on. I must admit, when I read the first chapter, I was very skeptical about the set up, but no more. And that dramatic discrepancy between initial impression and the actual opinion is why I'm writing a review -- haven't done any of that lately for anyone because of RL demands (bad RedRoo! Lurking!)You handled the development of the relationship beautifully in this chapter. I like that they are keeping their daytime relationship (such as it is) the same as it always was. Lots of maturity on Herminone's part, and you tell us just enough about her post-war state to convey that she is beyond Hogwarts, so such maturity and interaction with a teacher does not seem as odd (and potentially PWPish) as it might. I love the description of an inexplicably calmer Severus, and the line about how he gave her power over him when he took her hand. I would love to read Severus' POV -- seems to me that stripping in that way was very brave -- unless you are imagining a more sexually confident Severus than I have gathered from the fic. Although, sexual/relationship confidence and comfort in one's own body could be different. Still, however, for a man not used to having any kind of relationships and who keeps himself so tightly guarded (and pverdressed!) it was quite anaction, especially if spontaneous. Makes me wonder if he hadn't already felt comfortable with Hermione in some way already. Thanks for sharing your story.RRPS, I too, enjoyed the pun about coming to the Quiddich pitch! *snerk*

Thanks for taking the time to post such a detailed comment. I'm pleased you picked up on her change in outlook compared with the other students. Doing well in class and adolescent antics are just not important for her any more. She does not want to pretend everything is fine. In Severus she sees a kinship - he is damaged as well and not just going along with the whole, "The war is over, let's party," mentality. His morning routine grounds him, and she is in some ways sharing that.
I have not done Severus' POV during this part of the fic as it just seemed to work better when only told from hers. (I did try adding his POV in, but it disrupted the flow). His POV will feature more later, but I am considering a companion one-shot based on the scene where he strips for the first time before her, which will explain why he did so.
penny :)
Response from RedRoo45 (Reviewer)
Funny, I imagined Severus' POV, esp of that scene as a companion one shot! I can see how it would have seriously disrupted the flow to keep switching w/in the story.
Oh, man - now I'm hugely, massively, BURNINGLY jealous of Hermione! Yummy, yummy and yummy again. Very nice work on the atmosphere here; you set the stage very well and then topped that off by doing an excellent job with the players to boot. Thank you very much for posting this; I'm enjoying it greatly. Cat

Thanks for the lovely review, Cat! :)
really like this! Thank you for your work and thanks for sharing
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Thanks! :)
I'm lovin' this story, sunny. Keep up the good work.
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Thanks, Clay! :)
Now this is an interesting development... I like the tentative nature of their, well, may I call it a relationship yet?
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
It's undefined as yet. Thanks for reviewing! :)
Man, she really had guts to go back after he acknowleged her the first time. I'm sure they're both glad she did. Quite an interesting build up of a relationship. Not your usual way to fall in love. *Snort*
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
True. Curiosity as the basis for a relationship? :)

awesome. greatest story ever. ok, well, that's one perfect valentine, but right under that. cant wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response:
And it's all for you, dearie! :P
Well, this chapter inspired a wide variety of reactions in me.First, you made me laugh when Severus first stripped naked. It was such a funny way to tell Hermione that he knew she was there. Then, I got a rather disturbed by the fact that a teacher kept stripping naked in front of his student every day on the Quidditch pitch. Just... not right. But once I found out that this was post-DH, making Hermione more of an adult, I felt somewhat better. The development of their relationship at the end of the chapter and Severus's vulnerability were very poignantly done.Looking forward to chapter 3!
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Thanks, Prof! Yes, she is older and war-hardened. A student, but hardly a child. :)
Oooh *shivers* Thoroughly enjoyable! And the ummm image?! *pouts* Sometimes, I am so damned jealous of Hermione, and this is definitely one such instance!! Delicious, sunny. Delicious.
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Makes you want to get up early and go walking, does it, Kizzy? Thanks for reviewing! :)
aw, that was cute *and great* i can't wait to read more!
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
I'll get chap 3 in the queue today! :)
Wow. I really like the lack of words between them. They let their actions speak for them. It is interesting to watch Hermione puzzle through just exactly what his actions are saying (and I can imagine him doing the same wondering what it means that she keeps coming after seeing all there is to see).I also like your double entendre: it took the Potions professor to make me want to come. I really laughed at that. Thanks for an imaginative story.
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Hehe. You got it! :)
Aww, wonderful. I love what is developing between them and how comfortable they are with one another.

Brilliantly done. There is a certain overt subtelness to their situation (is that even a phrase?). I really admire the way you've used nudity as vulnerability and intimacy rather than overt sexuality. Okay, that's not what I was thinking about when he first stripped down, I'll admit it - but it is the greater meaning. Thanks so much for such an enjoyable read! =]
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
I'm so pleased you understood that. By allowing her to continue to watch, he is allowing her something he has allowed no-one else - intimacy. By Hermione continuing to turn up every morning, she is giving him something he has had little of - acceptance, admiration etc. :)
I believe that you meant a fitness regimen, not regime, though I could be wrong.
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Thanks for that. You made me check the dictionary! According to my dictionary, the words regimen and regime are interchangeable in this context. Thanks for taking the time to comment! :)
