I as good as felt Hermione's pain, which resulted in a constricted throat and watery eyes. Hell, how could he do this to her? And on Christmas Eve to boot!Thankfully it was just a misunderstanding.See what emotions you were able to evoke in a reader?

Oh, I love stories like this. There are secrets as one partner plots to surprise the other. There are misunderstandings as the other partner misinterprets the first one's secretiveness. There is anger, and sometimes tears during the inevitable confrontation. And then there is kissing and making up as true motives and hidden insecurities are revealed.This was a lovely bit of dramatic fluff (or fluffy drama!)A perfect read at the end of a quiet, peaceful Christmas.Thanks for sharing.

Aw, kizzy, that was simply perfect! I loved that Rosmerta backed her up, showing that Hermione wasn't overreacting.Such a sweet gift from Severus. He showed his love for her in a truly beautiful way.

You had me in tears half-way through it... and then that wonderful twist (I mean, I knew there had to be a misunderstanding, as it's impossible to have a SSHG Christmas story that ends badly! but my heart just went out for Hermione) made it all well, again.Merry Christmas, and thank you for the story!
