I don't think there's much more to be done in that sort of situation. I mean being present and offer a shoulder to cry on when necesary and wait until the pain begins to fade a bit ad becomes almost bearable.

i have one brother, and i frankly can't imagine what would happen to me if he died. i would be a total wreck, probably would be in a deep depression and go to therapy for years. and my brother feels the same way about me.
