I have to apologize to everyone, period. Real life swallowed me whole, as I have been struggling to make a living writing original fiction over the last 8 years. It has not been easy, & has been complicated by health issues. I hope people can forgive my long silences. Trying to make enough money to live on from writing is a lot harder--waaaay harder--than it looks. (At least I didn't leave any posted fanfics unfinished.)
Anyhoo...
These stories are works of parody (& thus are allowable under US law), and are not written for profit. Just for fun. I'm not making any money off of any fanfics, nor will I ever. I'm just playing around in other writers' universes.
...I am, however, making something of a living off my own stories. (If anyone wants to play around in my universes, you may visit my website, www.jeanjohnson.net, and look up my policy on Fanfics & Fanarts. It's reasonable enough and fairly easy to follow, too...)

Reviews for In Time
A very interesting & promising beginning. Usually I'm not that much in time turner fics. I wasn't aware before giving it a try that it would turn out one. Anyway, I was going to read simply because it's written by you.

Well, Cindy (the editor, not the character, lol) requiested a time-turner fic, and since this was a *coughbribe* prezzie for her. (I'm not much into them, either.)I do hope you enjoy the rest of this story anyway,~Lotm

Professor Frejne! I screamed when I saw her name! Of all the original characters I've ever come across, she is definitely the most intriguing. I really hope we get to learn more about her history. (I did read FSS). On another note, I was very excited to see that you had another story up. It was very clever and very fun to read. It was also very enjoyable to read the entire thing at once.

Unfortunately, I just don't have the time and energy to fully delve into Kathleen Frejne's background, as I once wanted to...but she is a cool original character, so I couldn't help but bring her back, even if only as a brief mention. I do miss her, lol... Maybe I'll make her into an original character in an original fic sometime? Oh, things will have to be different, of course--no way in hell I'll try to make money off of Rowling's work; that's just flat-out wrong--but the character of Frejne can be salvaged and reshaped into one of my own universes, I'm sure...AAAAAIGH! BACK BACK BACK BACK EVIL PLOT-BUNNIES!!!*whapwhapwhappitywhappitythumpathumppittyWHAP!!*...Sorry about the gore and bunny-guts, there...*cleans off your monitor*... It's just that, when they attack like that, I've learned to attack back as viciously as possible, in order to spare myself from being overwhelmed by too many plot-bunnies at once. They do tend to attack in droves. Plus, I have other plot-bunnies I'm tending to right now; the idea of Frejne *pauses, WHACKS a quivering bit of bunnymeat* as an original character in an original fic is a good idea, but I have other things to write, first...Sorry if I traumatized you--here, let me clean you up. Muliebris Mundic! There, no more plot-critter blood. Messy things, aren't they?Anyhoo...I'm glad you enjoyed this one. And I'm glad you like the fact that it's completed. It took me long enough, since I had to fit the writing of In Time around the writing of my seventh and eighth books. I didn't want anyone to see it until it was finished. (Of course, it was designed *coughasabribecough* for my editor, so she got the first copy, naturally...)

A whingy Severus. Now that's not something we get to watch everyday, lol! Severus sounded so different in this story. I think it's particularly because he's been friending Hermione over the years and reliazing that she'd gone back for him. It's almost as if he's a different person totally in front of Hermione.A whingy Severus. Hmm ... *imagine Severus pouts instead of scowls* I think he'd send me to a one-year detention if he learned how cute I think, a pouting Severus could be ...
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Time)
Of course he's a different person around her--he first met her as Cindy, a colleague...and how he treats his colleagues is clearly different, even in canon, from how he treats his students. Besides, he learnt his lesson with Lily; he said and did the wrong things with her, and paid for it with too many years of guilt and misery. The man may have been stupid the first time around, but he is capable of learning from his mistakes, analysing what went wrong, and seeking solutions--innovative solutions, as evidenced by the sixth year potions text--to his problems...~Lotm

Excellent!! Very enjoyable - very believeable! You must have spent some time in front of a calendar for that one! I love how Hugo and Rose still manage to make an appearance although I wish Hermione and "David" had gone back to England. Well done and thanks for all your hard work!
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Time)
Lol, not as much time as you'd think. Just a little math, is all. As for them going back to England...I thought about it, but no...there would be too many chances for Severus to be identified in day-to-day life.~Lotm

I LURVE time turner stories, and this is a great one. I'm really enjoying it. I have one tiny correction: H.G. Wells wrote The Time Machine, not Orwell.

A lovely end to a lovely--and very different!--love story. Quite nicely done!
It's so much fun, duping the rest of the Golden Trio! This is delightful deception!
Kingsley is a prince. And not a half-blood one, either!

I'm so glad we got through all that without a hitch! You had me worried there for awhile! But they've both come to their senses, so all's right with the world! But what (aside from the fulfillment of the prophecy that an NC-17 rating gives us!) can happen now, as we're only halfway through the story! Must read on to find out....

This is turning out to be a really ingenious, quite original way of saving Severus! I love her getting to see him age as Voldemort progresses and his responsibilities increase, and I very much like the man he is as her friend, rather than as all the people he must pretend to be for the rest of the world.I am intrigued by her plans...and afraid for them both, as playing with time is such a tricky business. But her theory that this is what was supposed to happen is interesting, and she does seem to be covering her bases well.Though with so many chapters yet to go, one wonders what you've got in store for us, you tricky woman! And I can hope, can't I?, that he will slowly but surely get over the woman who is now long dead and move toward the woman who is doing so much to save him....

Oo! I love the premise! I can tell this will be an excellent way to spend my afternoon after returning from vacation. :)
I always liked Alaska.(Never actually been there, but this'll do.)

What a fun little romp! And a much better ending for our favorite couple. I enjoyed this one immensely.
Great finish. I like that you still had them arguing, even years later, all the better to make up afterwards!
I loved the meeting between Severus and the rest of the trio. I can't believe they all got along. Although I really shouldn't be surprised.I read the last chapter first since that's how it arrived in my email. I just wanted to take a minute to let you know that I really enjoyed this little story. I was really disgusted with how J.K.R. killed off Severus. I expected him to die, but I didn't expect him to be killed off in such a lame way. Really, a Potion master dying from a snake bite? What happened to 'bottle fame, brew glory and even put a stopper in death'? Yes, I still resent that. Thank Merlin for AU and fan fiction in general.
Response from ladyofthemasque (Author of In Time)
Still haven't read book 7...and given how lame his death was, yeah...still probably won't. (I have In Annulo for my book 7, anyway. *thbbpts DH*) Thank Merlin indeed!*hugs*~Lotm

I am loving this story. The way you not only found a way to save them, but to bring them together with logic and affection, is beautiful. But most important of all, you zipped past all the "business" of story we already knew, didn't linger by showing each and every visit, but just enough to let us feel the passing of time and then be there at the right moment to save him.I can't wait to see what happens next!

I was in the middle of working on my own original fics, pushing towards deadline, but knowing I had to finish this thing for my editor *coughbribingcough* in a reasonably timely manner (which I didn't really do, bad me)...and I didn't want to go over tedious exposition that the typical HP fan already knows. So, yeah, I cheated. And totally rewrote that godawful Epilogue I've heard about...~Lotm

She may as well stay with him. As he said, she has no place she needs to be for 3 1/2 yrs LOL. After all, in 20 years she must have built up a bit of holiday leave!

Particularly now that Monkeybutt has ripped us out of our usual in-sync-with-everyone-else schedule, and extended it longer than it used to be, here in the States......But really, even the brightest witch of her generation has a flaw or two, and everyone can miss the common little details like that. We usually just count the days when making plans for something in the future, or recollecting something in the past, not the exact hours and minutes involved, too.~Lotm
