Reviews for Grey Tuesdays
That was fantastic!
Excellent story . I love Italy, it's my dream to go there someday.Combining it with my personal OTP was just excellent. The description of the food was so good, I started feeling a bit peckish! I really liked the romance element of it as well. You made Draco and Hermione a bit more mature which is great.I also liked the fact that you talked about her feelings about modifying her parent's memory and what effect that would have on their relationship. That's something that I always thought about during DH. The bit where he buys the poisons was good as well, because it showed that she still has a bit of a problem trusting that he is changed and trying to redeem himself at least a little.A definite 5 star rating from me!

Thank you so much! I'm thrilled that you liked this! It was a joy to write, and it's been so well received... just overwhelming! The subject of Hermione's parents has always interested me. It's not such a flippant thing that it can be dismissed. There will be repercussions, and perhaps even consequences. Which is what I did in this. Ah well. :)Thanks again! I really appreciate the review!

Wow that was a beautiful story! I am guessing you have been to Cinque Terre?I have too and it was so lovely reading about Draco and Hermione doing the exact same things i did there. Like eating the worlds best pesto in Corniglia and buying Limoncini. Some of your photo's are nearly identical to the ones i have. It was such a beautiful romantic story! I adored it. Well done :)

Thank you so much! You guess right: I've been there, twice now. And I essentially wrote what I did on my trip! I really appreciate the review!

They have an image of you as a tough, no-nonsense woman, and you want that, so you accept and perpetuate it, even when all you really want is to collapse into a friend’s long embrace. You’ve always had so much to prove, from the very beginning, and you couldn’t afford to let others see you weak, not for a second. Ron was pureblood, Harry was … well, Harry Potter. You were just a common Muggle-born witch, automatically spurned by some because of your birth. You have always tried to present an impassive front, even when the words and barbs cut you deeply.I love this - it's so true of many women. I've never see it written so well. The pictures are amazing. I so want to visit Italy.I really enjoyed this journey

Thank you! I'm very pleased that you enjoyed this story, and that this particular passage spoke to you. Italy is simply magical - I hope you get to go! Thanks for reading and reviewing, i really appreciate it!
is limoncino the same as limoncello, or is there a significant difference?thank you for this. I love cinque terre; you just made my day 100x awesome. now i reeeeaally want to go back. just out of curiousity--have you been on the ferry? did you go by Riomaggiore? we have joke at my house about the ferry announcer...we love the italian words...
you took those pictures, didn't you? I love how the light changes throughout the day in them. you can tell it is later afternoon in riomaggiore. and it is soooo cool that the wizarding shop is in manarola...when we visited we stayed there! super awesome!
there is so much emotion here. I love the voice you use in this story. I love the second person. it works surprisingly well. it just feels very, very natural. and the part with her parents...wow. there is a rythym and a beauty to your narrative that flows perfectly, unlike a lot of stories. your hermione has a depth to her that is uncommon, and it hits the reader all the more because of the perspective. especially the bit where she holds draco's hand on the rocks...I feel like I can really identify with that. with treasuring people who watch out for you. fearing and hoping for tingles. the guilt of a mistake.
oh my god. the ending totally made me tear up. I dunno if I'm just being extraordinarily maudlin today, or what, but this story is going on my favorites list. hands down. I don't cry at stories often.
this is possibly the best romance I've ever read. It invites the reader in, rather shamelessly (what romance is NOT just a way for the reader to live vicariously?) and I end up feeling not jealous, but hopeful. sigh. when will someone give me a reason to say yes? now I really am getting sappy. thank you, thank you, thank you.

Limoncino, limoncello ... It's all the same! Actually, I looked it up while doing the research for this story, but can't remember exactly what I found. It was at the Cinque Terre website, though. I have been there, but it had been a couple of years and needed the help with spelling and such. I recently went back to CT with some friends, and we did take the ferry! But we started in Riomaggiore, so I didn't hear that one. We loved how he said Vernazza! That's where we stayed, on both visits.I'm extremely flattered that you liked this so much! Truly, I'm left speechless, and all I can say is thank YOU for reading and reviewing! Your comments made my day, and they mean more to me than I can say. Thanks again!
I've been in Italy and walked the same path tree years ago!Thank you for reminding me of the beauty of it!I loved the way you depictured Draco, altough at first I thought it was Lucius, doesn't Draco have blue eyes?? *scraches head and graps the nearest HP book to reread* ... oh your right they're grey, my mistake! You know, the path or at least part of it is called the lover's path (via dell amore) It fits really well don't you think! The way you've written it was refreshing a bit unusual but ...Write more, I'll read and review it!!

That's great! I just love it there. I recently went back, and we walked one of the trails, but it was still amazing. I'm glad you enjoyed it!I'm glad you liked Draco! And yeah, he has his father's eyes. I had forgotten about the Via Dell Amore--at least, forgotten to mention it. I think that's the part where they're talking, hand in hand. Very appropriate indeed! Thanks for reading. I know this was unusual, and it's not the way I normally write (in 2nd person), but I'm thrilled you enjoyed it!
I normally dislike stuff written in the present tense, and the 2nd person is very strange to me, also. Oh, and did I mention I dislike Malfoy?
But I saw your story on the Lumos column. (I was just finnished squealing about mine being there with the likes of such good writers, I am amazed) and I clicked your story without seeing it was a Malfoy story. ---
So now that I've told you all the reasons I ought not like your tale....
on the other hand, I was swept along by the incredible photos, and the story and imagining myself there, buying things on the way and seeing such incredible views. ---- So I can forgive the (still strange) use of 2nd person and present tense. And I can even like the Malfoy you present us, one who has grown up. and your heartbreaking subplot of Hermione's parents, oh yes, I can like all of this story and am truly happy I read it. Thank you for this.

Hi there! I'm on the Lumos column? I had no idea! Thank you for inadvertantly letting me know! Wow! Now it's my turn to squee!Thank you for giving this story a chance. After starting it and realizing it's in the 2nd person POV, you could have easily stopped. This fic was written for a d/hr exchange on LiveJournal, and I had never written a 2nd person fic before, so I wanted to try. I glanced at your fic, and saw that you're writing Draco too. I haven't had a chance to sit down and read yours, however, so I have no idea how he's portrayed. I like him because in JK's world of black and white, he falls in the middle, and it seems could easily go either way. I'm pleased that you liked the Draco I have written. I prefer to think that he learned a great deal from his experience in book 6, and went on to be a better person. Thanks again for reading and the marvelous review! :D
I loved this. It felt as though I took a hike along with them. Lovely pictures as well. Good imagery.
