Heartbreakingly wonderful.
Loved that it was a songfic, but you didn't quote song all the way through it, instead turning the song into the story. (I hope that made as much sense to you as it did inside my head.)

Lol, it makes perfect sense to me. I don't normally write any sort of songfic, but this wouldn't let me go, so I tried to blend it in a bit. So glad you enjoyed it.

I love, love, love, rare pairs. And I know these two have been done a bit, but not that often. SS/HG are my OTP, but I've been writing a bit of HG/TN (Theodore Nott,) which I blame on Little Beloved, btw. I think, as much as I love SS/HG, it's so great to take a break and look at the characters in completely different situations and relationships.That said, I'm completely not able to get into Dramione, yet. I just can't ever see her forgiving him for all the mean things he's said and done enough to love him.Viktor, on the other hand, well, he's just a sweet as can be. I think I might have to jump into this ship a bit and see what's out there. Got any recs?

So do I! I've written quite a few unusual pairings, actually, not all of which are posted here yet.I also started out SS/HG, but while I read it, I never write it any more. Oooh Theo -- I've recently fallen in love with him, as I've started to RP him on an RP I joined <3 A wonderful community where rare pairings can be seen is Romancing the Wizard on LJ (we just finished up a challenge there today).Well, when it comes to Dramione, I think if she can forgive Severus in the SS/HG ship, she can forgive Draco in that one. Of course, it has to be written correctly. For some Dramione, as well as SS/HG, I recommend Bambu345 (http://www.windingsteps.com/efichome/viewuser.php?uid=1).Hmm. I've read some good ones, but I can't remember the author off hand. I'll search for it and get back to you on that.
That's very sad. I bet it brings all sorts of might-have-been thoughts to your readers. Thank you for sharing this melancholy tale.
