I don't talk to trees . . . honest. At least, I'd never admit to talking to them. But if I were the kind of girl who might find herself talking to an old oak tree on a chilly fall morning, asking why its leaves were falling off, and if that tree decided to answer me, this is the story the tree might have told me.

I consider myself a writer, an artist, and a dreamer. Some may question the last identifier, but I feel it is very important. Without dreaming, I believe the soul of my writing and art would be quite shallow, if it existed at all.

Awww what a cute story! Trees are associate with life and so it's really neat that you depicted the idea that life began with a Tree and her Leaves. Beautiful!

this is a really beautiful and imaginative creation myth. i loved your imagery; i was a little worried that you might not manage to sustain it throughout, but you did a lovely job. i liked how all life was born from the bits of leaves, and i loved the final two paragraphs. very nice.
