Reviewed“It was all my fault. My lust for power, my desire to belong, ruined everything,” Severus whispered with a quiet anguish. “Then I brought the Prophecy to him, and it sealed your fate. I am so sorry.”
“You’ve given your life to make amends. Enough!” Lily demanded. “I should never have given up on you. That was my mistake. You are blessed with one last chance. Hermione will not make my mistakes, and she deserves to have you whole.”
At the mention of Hermione, Severus felt a peace, unlike he had ever known, fill his soul, and Lily was gone.

Thank you so much. There is actually one part left that hasn't been posted yet. I did this as a drabble trilogy ages ago. Then I posted part one here and forgot about it. When they chose it as a featured story I figured I ought to post the rest. Now I'm considering writting another bit to bring it full-circle back to Severus and Hermione, but I don't want to ruin what I already have. It's a case of when to say when.
This sounds like the beginning of a very interesting idea. I hope you write more.
