I see my Mom's twinkle in my youngest's eyes and her smile brightens my oldest's lips. I know she is here with us, living through me and mine. She suffers no more, and I take solace in that fact. It doesn't ease the void, but makes it tolerable.

Thanks Dara. I'm sorry I didn't realise I hadn't responded to these. I take comfort from her end of suffering too. But it's like the glue that holds us is gone, you know?

Thank you for writing this. I still miss my mom, she passed in 1997. I still think about what was said and what could have been said. Gods, but I miss her.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Amsev. Life really changes, doesn't it? I know I'm lucky in a way, having time with mum. But the other side is we all spend all our time pretending life's normal. Mainly because she wants it like that.Thank you so much for responding.
