No, not at all the type for her!

Only power and weakness. Chillingly true to form.

Very well done. Not a pairing I would have picked, but this really worked.

Ooh, interesting how quickly her opinion of him changes.  Rightfully so, of course.  I think there could be a nice dynamic between these two if ever you got the urge to write something longer.

Response from TeaOli (Author of Certainty)

Actually, it took months for her to develop a clear picture of why she was not as impresed with him as she thought she should be. His comments at this particular dinner were the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. As to a longer story... who knows? I doubt I have it in me, though. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

This is so incisive and loaded with warnings - warnings that were not recognised for what they were.  Very thought-provoking, especially as we all know what happened afterwards.

Response from TeaOli (Author of Certainty)

Thank you! To be honest, the prompt made me hesitate for a moment. But then I thought, How would these two interact at this time in McGonagalls life? and this is what happen.

Well done! Both being strong characters they would have some history, but I'm glad it ends here!

Response from TeaOli (Author of Certainty)

Thank you! I was glad to end it there, as well.

Mmmm... love this depiction and interplay between these two: Tom being revealed, little by little, and Minerva's eyes wide open at his true nature by the end--lovely work!

Response from TeaOli (Author of Certainty)

You got what I was trying to convey exactly, nag!  Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts.

As you already know, I adore this glimpse into how Minerva might have seen Tom's true character.  Well done! :)

Response from TeaOli (Author of Certainty)

Thanks! It did take her a bit, but she got there.

Even when she was younger, not too much gets past our Min.  Evidence of how skilled our Severus was, that he was able to keep things from her so well that final year.  Tom was far too smug, thinking he could cloud her vision.

Response from TeaOli (Author of Certainty)

I wish I could say I'd meant to make her particularly perceptive in this, but the truth is, I saw her as still learning to read people. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts.

*Shudder* a very creepy insight, into a twisted mind.

Response from TeaOli (Author of Certainty)

He's very scary, isn't he? Thanks for reading.
