Reviews for Something Better
Awww so cute, which is not something I say about Draco very often.
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
Yeah, I don't usually feel warm and fuzzy about him, but I'd like to think there is a chance the war changed him. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing.
Awwww. :D

Thanks for stopping by to read and review!
Yep, Draco, don't EVER make Astoria chose! Better arrange yourself with this new guy in her life--your life. I had to start three times at least, till I caught on, but this fits perfectly to Draco's own problems, so it enhanced the whole scene! Loved that you took Draco for this. He's so aloof that it must be extra-hard to open up. Then the family thing, perfect! It might not be compliant with the epilogue--THESE Malfoys still have Lucius around, and they have not changed their opinion on what it means to be a Malfoy.

Draco is a character that I don't care much for, but for some reason, more often than not, he seemed to creep right on into my submissions for LDWS.He probably doesn't fit in with epilogue Draco, but I'd like to think that he redeemed himself, even if he didn't show it in public. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I'm glad you liked it.
Love your capturing of the possessive Draco regarding his 'ownership' of Astoria, his honest insecurity towards his own child & revealing that if she had to choose, she'd choose Scorpius, and the wonderful reconciliation and bonding at the end with an hope filled, empowered Draco & commitment to making their future lives & how they participate 'something better' - wonderful condense drabble!

What a lovely review! You've totally made my night :)
Hahaha! This is so cute! I knew something was up, but I wasn't sure what. When you revealed it, I was laughing. Just like Draco! I had to go back and re-read, then. The whole thing was really funny. You have just the right touch with comedy! :D
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
Thanks! For this whole LDWS run, it seemed as if Draco was going to pop up in each and every story. And I don't even care that much for the kid! Weird how they just sort of insinuate themselves into your stories.
I suspect many a father has felt that very same way. Cute first meeting.
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
I think so too. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
It's so nice to see Draco moving on with his life, away from the pure-blood ideals he was raised with, and a chance to start again with a family of his own. Sweet.
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
It is good to know that he wasn't completely ruined by his upbringing and the war. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Absolutely lovely.
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
I think your review is absolurtely lovely. :)
Aw! That was sweet. It seems perfectly natural that Draco would feel a little threatened, but I'm glad to see they got off on a good footing.

Yes, adding a baby to the mix is one of the most joyful and frightening things you will ever do. I, too, am glad that it all works out in the end. I suspect he is a changed man, but still too prissy to change a diaper. Thank goodness for house-elves!
I wondered mid-way through if Draco was talking to his new child. Lovely. :)

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! Glad you liked it.
This was so unexpected that I had to read some passages a few times to realise that all quotes were Draco's. Great use of the prompt. I can sympathise with Draco very well, his anguish and his willingness to surrender in the end. Charming and sweet.
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
Thank you for such a great review. I can sympathize with him as well. Glad you liked it.
WOW, This is a perfect view of how a new father would feel. Good job.
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
I kind of felt this way with my first *is sheepish* Glad you enjoyed this.
A gorgeous picture of a new father's worries and expectations and secrets that no one will know! I love it!
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
You're right, noone will know. That's the beauty of it. I suspect that even Draco will forget all about this eventually. Until he is up all night with a crying baby. Then he might remember a bit. :)
Beautifully written, I really liked it.

my child - my rival.oh poor men."he wasn't even sure of his name."This is tricky! you really did it with perfection, circling around the truth by using so innocent words and phrases. well done! And the revellation is soo cute. Thanks for sharing!
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
What a great review! I'm glad that this worked for you and that you enjoyed it.
Aw! Literal baby steps!
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
Yes, instead of racking my brain for an idea this week, it sort of came to me when I read the prompt. If only every week worked that way! Thanks for the review.
Awwwwww. So sweet and cuddly! Love the little twist.
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
Every once in a while Draco can be sweet and cuddly. Just don't tell anyone or he'll hex you. Thanks for reviewing.
Awww ... good for Draco. I always knew he was human somewhere deep down. It is hard to resist a sweet new baby, even if he seems to have an ulterior motive, LOL.
Response from HBAR (Reviewer)
Yes, he isn't always a bad guy. It's just what he wants you to think.
Ha! Baby steps, indeed. Oh, Draco. He's softened up quite a bit in the presence of his new son, hasn't he? This is very sweet. My only question... What other names were Draco and Astoria considering?
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
Thank you for reading and reviewing. I don't know what other names they considered, but I feel pretty certain Harry wasn't in the running. :)
Response from ofankoma (Reviewer)
Harry Malfoy? Ha! I think Draco would sooner have a child with Moaning Myrtle than name his kid after Harry. (When I think on Dramione, I like to imagine that Hermione would encourage 'Leo' as a baby name compromise in a fit of pique... A bit of astronomy for Draco, a Gryffindor for her.) Thanks again for a charming read!
That was totally adorable! I guess even Draco has his cute moments. :)
Response from HBAR (Author of Something Better)
Well, we can't have him being bad all of the time, now can we? Don't worry, I'm sure he'll be a jerk to someone soon, just to balance things out.
