I rather like the pairing of Pansy and Ron! A sad, but satisfying end - you just hope Violet learns from this. Good name choice too!

I'm not entirely sure who to feel for here.  Everyone has cause to create hurt and be hurt.  I found this a very clever drabble.  Thank you.

‘Just remember, you always have a home with me.'  That's perhaps the most disgusting thing I can imagine a mother saying to her daughter on her wedding day. The fact that it follows an exchange of 'I love you's is just terribly sad.  Good on Pansy for sticking to her guns, and here's to Violet getting her act together before she does any more damage... Beautifully written.

I must say that was most deserved. Some mothers think that their love of their child excuses any behavior to make the quasi-best decissions for the child, but that is not true at all. Where is respect for another human being?Your story made me emotional. This happens so often in out world. And always with best intensions at heart. Very sad.

Love the depiction of their situation through the dialogues; so sad, but good for Pansy! Painful, but finally able to break the ties that bound her for her new, different life with her own family - lovely, bittersweet work!

I like the format, all dialogue.  And I like the pairing - I have a soft spot for Ron/Pansy.  Her mother is a cold biatch, though, and apparently incapable of truly feeling.  You did a good job of conveying that.

Yes, mother knows best how to become estranged from her child.  How sad for everyone involved, but I am glad that Ron and Pansy can move on and be happy, even if it means dumping the extra baggage.  Maybe now that she knows what's at stake she will change her ways.
