I am simply trying to singlehandedly even the score with the SS/HG folks. LOL. Yes, I do have a soft spot for Viktor and Hermione. He was so much better for her than Ron. And he never hurt her by belittling her appearance or her enthusiasm for knowing the answers as Snape did. Viktor was the perfect Prince Charming to her Princess.
