I live in Northern California, I love J.K. Rowling, Terry Pratchett, Janet Kagan and a few others. My only close, living family is my ol' Dad, whom I moved back in with last year. I love to read and write fan-fic and I am probably older than most of you.

That would be a very real thought in the mind of anyone who has dedicated their lives to caring for other's children, teaching them how to survive in this wide world. More so in a boarding school than in a day school. Nicely written.

I really liked this look at Minerva immensely. Though I would wish the kids wouldn't be obliviated. Not only because its a violation--but I rather like Ron's epiphany here.

Wow!

That's brutal!

I think this is my favorite "explanation" for McG's overboard response to them being caught out after curfew (even if you didn't intend it as one) :) Oliver was a nice touch also -- nobody ever really addresses the "jocks," do they, but I'm sure there are plenty of parallels to high school football.

The subjects taught at Hogwarts are of a nature that the skills the pupils learn may decide over the survival in the upcoming war - so Minerva's fears are VERA plausible. **Applauds**

An interesting insight into Minerva. Thank you. :-)

I never thought I would hear such wise words from Ron.
