Great! Very creepy, just as I like. The story reminded me of "The Sun Dog" by Stephen King. There was the same situation with the photo - the dog on the photo was getting closer and closer

Now THAT was one very creepy read! I'm guessing maybe the inhabitant of that cave was something like Aragog... I remember that the young Ron's boggart was an Acromantula, so it's possible that an up-close-and-personal solo encounter of the many-legged kind could have pushed him over the edge.Then again, maybe the cave-dweller was something even worse...Well done!

I'm not actually sure what it is either. I wanted to let the reader use their imagination, but yes. It is something a lot worse...

Oh my gods! What was in the cave? It's so weird that the eyes kept growing larger, as if the whatever-it-is was coming for him. Develishly scary, heart thumping writing!

My guess is an acromantula. Spiders have always scared the bejeebers out of Ron. Quite chilling!

This was a nerve-wracking read. It wasn't the red eyes (or whatever demon possessed them) that frightened me the most; it was your vivid description of the cave itself. This was difficult to get through for someone as claustrophobic as I am. I guess you could consider yourself a very successful storyteller that I perservered to the end. Great job!
