Sophia McKinloch is in her sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Best friends with Lily Evans and Remus Lupin, this Gryffindor maybe shy and unassuming, but she is always ready to help a friend in need. However, in this, her penultimate year at Hogwarts, Sophia will be the victim of a horrific attack; one that will require her to rebuild her life in the aftermath. How will this girl, who hates to show anyone her true feelings, cope when the person who can help her the most is the jovial Sirius Black; and how will Sirius Black cope when circumstances force him to be mature?

Hello,
I've been writing fanfiction for about a year now, though I'm only just starting to submit bits of my work to the archives. I have a large Sirius/OC story that I'm writing, a new Draco/Hermione chaptered story, and I have several one-shots writing, including Lily/Severus, Ginny/Oliver Wood, and the Marauders. I also read almost anything connected with the Harry Potter world, though I have a soft spot for Sirius, Draco, and Severus stories in particular.
Please have a read of my stories and let me know what you think. I'm always looking to improve (plus its always nice to know if someone simply enjoyed reading what you have written).

Excellent continuation! I especially love how you haven't rushed the Sophia/Sirius relationship to make it more realistic. Though secretly, deep down, I wish you would :)

Aww - thank you! I'm glad you liked the next chapter and I'm glad you like that their relationship isn't being rushed. There is a way to go (sorry!), Sophia needs to properly heal first, but I hope it will be worth it in the end! Thank you again and glad you enjoyed the chapter!

Oh, Sirius, when will you ever learn. I love how all the boys were told not to provoke any attention, and of course, it's the first thing they do. Silly silly. Nice chapter.

Ah, but Sirius never learns! LOL Yeah, the boys will always be a bit hot headed, especially where the Slytherins are concerned. Definately a 'hex first, ask questions later' situation! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the review! xXx
Oh goodness. I think the whole "tortuously slowly" comment fits that scene brilliantly. It's ironic how those that dislike the "Mudbloods" and "Blood traitors" succumb most willingly to the people that they hate. I think you handled the situation perfectly. And I'm glad I know it ends with someone interrupting them. Still, on pins and needles to find out what happens next!

Aww, your heartbroken Lily is a work of genius. I love to read different views of how Lily felt after she broke things off with Sev. I'm wishing she would/could jot him a note saying she didn't realise how much she had missed him. Not that things could ever be right between them again, but it would maybe hurt a little less.I'm loving the little progressions in Sirius and Sophia :)

Aww, Merrin - thank you for this lovely review. I'm so glad Lily's reaction came over as believable. I'm one of those weird people who crosses into both camps - I could see her being happy with Sev (if things had happened differently) and I can equally see her falling in love with James in seventh-year, and I guess I wanted to show just a little bit of that in this story. I'm also glad you are liking the little progressions in Sirius and Sophias' relationship :-) Thanks again! xXx
Yes, Sirius. Good plan. Make her think you didn't want to kiss her. See how that goes. Also, props for the pick on Sophia stuff. That was pretty cute. I like your story banner. It's pretty awesome. : )

Oh, I know - I guess Sirius' plan of going with the flow didn't turn out so well. *sigh* But then, he *is* still Sirius - he will always be rash and implusive. And yes, I love the banner too :) A wonderful Christmas present from my friend and first reader of this little tale. Reminds me of when Sirius found Sophia after Rosier's attack and just held her all night, making her feel safe :)
Aww... Sophia needs to get some more confidence. And Sirius needs to open his mouth and just say something. Or do something with his mouth. Either way. ;) Love that Hector is still around annoying Sirius. Cute chapter. Nice to have some happiness.

So I've been remiss in reading. Lots of annoying things to take care of. But I'm back and still invested in your story. I *love* Sirius being jealous. Is there nothing more glorious than that. And the whole James/Sirius friendship stuff is cute too. I'll be catching up the next couple of days. Keep watch for my reviews. And definitely keep writing. : )
