Don’t Call Him Snape

“…and to think that git…”

“Stop calling him that, Ron,” Hermione said, gritting her teeth in annoyance.

“Hey, we both know that Snape’s a git,” Harry said in Ron’s defense, passing him another chocolate frog.

“Professor Snape,” she growled and shifted her legs to get more comfortable on Harry’s bed.

“Well, Snape snapped at Neville for no reason—took fifty points…” Harry continued undaunted.

“That slimy git!” Ron spat.

“He’s not slimy or a git; he’s a professor, and you shouldn’t keep dis—”

“It’s bad enough that the git is always on him in class—but the library?” Ron continued, ignoring Hermione. “Snape doesn’t have—”

That was it; she’d had enough. Hermione grabbed Harry’s pillow from beside her, jumped up, and whacked Ron on the side of the head. “Professor. Snape. It’s Professor—Snape,” she enunciated each word with a swing at Ron’s head. Unfortunately, in her exuberance, she also whacked Harry on a few of her back swings. Harry tried grabbing the pillow from Hermione, but she had a very firm grip.

Ron grabbed his pillow to fend her off. “Hermione! Stop it—geroff… Stop!”

Dean and Neville walked in, and Dean’s face lit up. “Hey, it’s a pillow fight!”

Neville sat on his bed as Dean grabbed his pillow. “My money’s on Hermione!”
