A very cute start! and I love the idea that Pomona is hiding frilly underthings under her grubby exterior. For some reason, I love this pairing - it really works for me.

Yes, this pairing really grows on me, too! Glad you liked Pomona's frilly underthings! :)Thanks for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Poor Flitwick! And how sweet that Minerva was there... *giggles*
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed it!
What a cute story. I can just see Filius climbing the tree in the hopes of seeing Pomona and how sad he must have looked when he learned she had a new beau. sniffles.Minerva is awesome, as always. I love how you referenced RaM in a small way here. tee hee. I think we're all a bit leery of climbing trees and taking "cat naps" outside the huts of others. haha. Cheers,GLM

Yes, you have to be careful where you catnap when you're a cat Animagus! haha! I'm glad you enjoyed the story! Poor Filius -- such an embarrassing spot to be in, but Minerva glossed over it for him. And so sad that he had to learn about Donald, the new beau, in this way! Thanks for the review!Cheers! ;-)

Ah, poor Filius. It's so sweet that he climbs a tree just to get a glimpse of her. It must be nice also for him to change his vantage point once in a while.Love the Minerva cameo at the end. (She knows a little something about pining, doesn't she?)
Response from MMADfan (Author of Cheering Charms)
I could see him thinking that might be a clever way of getting a better view of things, and then suddenly realizing that it wasn't such a good idea. :-)Yes, Minerva does know a bit about pining.

Hi! I hope that your winter goes well! Sorry not to get back to you sooner; I forgot to check if you'd responded! :) I would be interested in reading "A Long Vernal Season"; are you going to put any of it up on The P. P. or on another site? Thanks, and happy writing!

Hi! I'm really ready for spring to be here, actually! It's been a VERY long winter.I am still unsure about what I'm doing, long-term, with Long Vernal Season, but there are some early chapters available for a "sneak peek" at the story.Good to hear from you! Thanks for your note!-MMADfan

Hi! Good to hear from you - and I completely sympathize with you about the winter!I'd be interested in reading your 'sneak peek' :) Are you letting people read it? If so, may I :D ? Do you post it on your lj, or do you email it out, &c? Thanks! Hope it gets warmer where you are soon.

Hi! Back whenI responded to the previous review, I sent you a message using the "contact" feature here on TPP. I presume it gets emailed to whatever email account you registered with on TPP. Send me a note on TPP, and I can respond to you via email -- or feel free to email me directly. I have a yahoo email acct w/ the same name. :-)My mother's in the hospital, so I'm checking my email only about once a day at the moment, so if it takes me a bit to get back to you, that's why. It's beginning to show some signs of spring around here, 'though it was a bit dreary and rainy today. Better than Arctic temperatures, though!Looking forward to hearing from you!
