I like the start of this story.  I have the same view as Sampdoria, it is interesting to see Snape as Harry's mentor as well as see a story about Harry's muggle family.  And I will have to agree with her, please promise not to have a lot of Hermione and Ron.

Interesting start!

You know, I am very intrigued by your story. Usually I prefer Hermione/Severus stories, and I would shun any mention of Hermione/Ron as a romantic pairing as it was the plague (promise to only mention them briefley and never ever intimately?). I like the idea of Severus as a mentor for Harry though, very much so. Not only because Severus is Harry's best link to his mother, but because it also shows that Severus has been able to put the bad feelings about James Potter into the past where they belong, and therefore open up for the possibilities of having a future with friends, maybe love, but most importantly acceptance. Severus deserves that. That I also truly enjoy the idea of Vernon and Petunia finally having to face the results of their behaviour, and that Sirius contributed to said results, is icing on the cake:-))

This is a very interesting chapter and I can't wait to see what's next.  Until next time, be well.

i really enjoyed this.  part of me thought that harry should be more assertive with uncle vernon, but then i really did appreciate snape taking care of things for him.  i like stories where snape has a sort of fatherly interest in him.  and it was fun watching the little parade of celebrities at the funderal.  thanks for sharing this story.  :)
