Epilogue

Standing at the end of the platform as the Hogwarts Express puffed out of view, Hermione turned to Ron. “Well, that’s Rose off to school,” she said as she fondly ruffled Hugo’s hair. “I hope she has as much fun as we had, but not of the Evil Tyrant Battling variety!”

He snorted. “Do you think I would allow any daughter of mine to get tied up with a disaster-seeking, rule-breaking, impulsive pair of boys like you did? If she wants excitement, she can jolly well play Quidditch!” Laughing as she threw a mock glare his way, he added, “Or, of course, she could spend all her spare time studying in the library.”

“A lot of good that did me!” Hermione retorted. “Trouble found me, whether I wanted it or not!”

They turned together and walked arm in arm back towards the barrier where a tall, dark man was just shooing off an owl.

“Happily on her way to Hogwarts then?” he asked with a smile as he pocketed his letter unopened.

“Yes, Severus, and you should have come with us to wave her off,” Hermione scolded.

“No, my love, you two are her parents after all, even if you are no longer husband and wife. I said my goodbyes at home. I will have my turn when this little one turns eleven.” He tenderly laid his hand on her gently rounded belly.

Ron turned to Luna, who had been keeping Severus company. “One day, we will have one of our own to see off to Hogwarts. If we get to work, maybe he or she could be a classmate of Hermione and Severus’ child.”

“Aww, no!” interjected Hugo. “Does that mean I will have two sets of half-brothers and sisters to train?” His parents and step-parents could see his mischievous, nine-year-old brain already devising ways to torture them by means of his younger half-siblings.

At that, the adults collectively shrugged their shoulders and vowed that, as much as they loved him, they would never allow Hugo Weasley to spend time alone with their younger children. After all, if it hadn’t been for the undue influence of his Uncle George, he wouldn’t have turned out to be the consummate prankster that he was!

THE END

A/N: This story has now come to a close, but I have plans for my characters for the future. I am eternally grateful to my wonderful beta, ladyinthecloak, whose help and advice is always invaluable, and SW69, who not only made the Challenge possible, but betaed one chapter when LITC couldn't. Thanks are also due to rdholmantx, who gave me some inspiration, and notsosaintly, who guided me gently through the wedding night! Last, but not least, thanks to all the readers and reviewers out there. You guys are splendiferous! XXX

This story is based on prompt 93 of the Potter Place Anything Goes Challenge. “Someone has his or her powers stripped away for misuse. Did he/she lose them because of actual misuse or was it a set up? How do they get them back?”

For me, out of the ALL of the triad stories of these three, this Ron was breath takingly wonderful. I have never cried reading a Ron speech in fan fiction before tonight! Well done Sonny, truly wonderful!!!

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Aw, thanks! :)

This story was an unexpected delight!  I was fooled into believing that Severus would maintain his protective role.  I commend you for writing a thoughtful and mature Ron.  My only wish was for a reconciliation with Hermione's parents.

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Thank you. :)

I like how you skipped over DH and went directly to AU post-war.

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

No point going over old ground, eh?  :)

Wow. Such an intense and promising first chapter.  I love the way you've set up this premise.

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Thank you.  This was my first fic, so please excuse the gratuitous use of adverbs and speech attributes! :D

Awwww if only this was AU enough to allow the lives of Lupin and Fred.

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Yeah, they were good guys. :)

This story has a refreshing, straight-forward style, which I like very much. By times it moves foward so quickly that one tends to believe it's only a draft, but still I find it lacks nothing. Thank you very much!

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Thanks, mo.  FC was my first attempt at fanfic.  I believe an author can add a lot of unnecessary detail just for the sake of increasing the word/chapter count and try and avoid that trap. :D

Wonderful story - I love the way all the characters turned out!  I think it's perfect that Harry & Ginny knew about Hermione, Ron & Severus before any of them did and were supportive.  I also really like Ron with Luna - they just seem very suited!Well done!

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Thanks for all your reviews. :)

I LOVE this Ron Weasley!!!  So often in SSHG stories he is written as a complete prat, but I find this version of him much more believable - even the most obnoxious of male teenagers often grows into a wonderful man!  And I really like Ron - just not with Hermione!  :D (And now, of course, the Epilogue can still happen - just with the proper backstory!)

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Well, Bill and Charlie turned out ok... :)

Oooohhhhh - this is SO good!!  I found my way to this particular story via the SS/HG Quiz.  Poor Hermione, I can only imagine how helpless & hopeless she must have felt.  I'm so glad Severus remembers her and thinks he can find and help her.  A lovely transition from canon - Severus comes across just right!

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Yay for the Quiz! Thanks for stopping by!:)

Very interesting - I was afraid that something sad was gong to happen to Ron...  Maybe he's just going to use his often underestimated (and sometimes underutilized) intelligence...

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Maybe... ;)

AK indeed!  I thought this was a SS/HG romance?!?! :D  I guess I'll just have to read on!

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

You will... and you did! :D

“We Slytherins need positive reinforcement as well, you know.” LOL!Another dilemna - what to do about the parents who are happy and stress-free??

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Exactly. :)

Will "Finite Incantatem" really work?  And what will happen between them then?

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

You will see. :)

I love the friendly camraderie that is developing between them - just the thing to lead to something deeper!  :D

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Yep! :D

Oh - so glad they didn't miss each other again.  And Spinner's End feels like home, eh?  I suspect it will feel that way even more so as time goes on!

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

I think at this stage, anything wizarding will feel like home. :)

OMG,  I just realized that you wrote this.  I loved this story.  I cried when Severus found Hermione and I loved the tidbit of a shower scene that you gave us.  I really liked how Ron and Severus were able to come together and both be rocks for Hermione.  Ron definately was a gentleman.Love YaSevibaby

Response from sunny33 (Author of Full Circle)

Thanks, darlin'! :)

What a great story. I admit to being dismayed when she found her spark with Ron, but all was redeemed in the end. Thanks for a great read.
