I'm Australian, and mid 2007 I somehow stumbled upon the wonderful world of HP Fanfiction.
Some of my favourite fan-fictions are  "Phantom of Hogwarts" by Good_Witch; "Their Death-Marked Love" by _Levicorps_ ; "Send Not To Know" by Subversa; "The Love You Take" also by Subversa; "Care of Magical Creatures" by mia madwyn. I have many more favourites, but these are at the very top of the (very large) list.
