“Dammit, Remus, how many times have I told you to stay out of the lab when I’m working?” Severus snarled at this egregious breach of his private domain.
“But, Severus, it’s important,” Remus replied.
“Well? What is it then?” Severus chopped yarrow root furiously, not bothering to look up.
“Do you remember when I got you out of attending Draco and Harry’s baby adoption party?”
“Vaguely. What does that have to do with anything?” He sprinkled the ingredient over the top of the mixture in his cauldron and began to stir counterclockwise, counting in his head.
“You promised me anything I wanted. You do remember, don’t you?” Remus moved around the counter to stand behind Severus.
“That doesn’t sound like me. I certainly don’t recall using those words,” Severus huffed. Seven. Eight.
“Well, you certainly agreed when I used those words, and I’ve come to collect.”
“Now? I’m at a very critical point in the brewing process.” Twelve. Thirteen. He set down the stirring rod and picked up his pestle to crush the pomegranate seeds.
“Yes. Now.” Strong arms wrapped around him and warm lips brushed the side of his neck. “I’m hungry.”
“Can’t you make your own dinner just this once?” Severus groused, still crushing the seeds, acutely aware of his lover’s body pressing him against the counter.
“Not that kind of hungry,” Remus growled, his hands moving lower to brush the front of Severus’s trousers.
As a firm hand closed over him, Severus dropped the pestle.

“You do realize the potion is ruined now. I’ll have to start all over again,” Severus said from where he lay curled up in Remus’s arms.
“So sorry. I promise I’ll make it up to you.”
“You’ll do anything I want?”
“Anything,” Remus breathed against his lips.
Author’s notes: Thanks to Clairvoyant for looking this over for me. This was written for week 5 of the snupin_ldws community at LiveJournal. Genre/cliché: botched potion, word: egregious. And that’s all she wrote for this round, as this is the one that got me voted off. However, the competition was pretty fierce, so I’m trying not to take it too personally.
